Box Office Results:17 – 19 February 2012
Only 3 comedies at the Box Office last weekend....!
It’s official ladies and gentlemen, out of the Top 15 films at the US Box Office over the weekend only three can be put under the umbrella of comedies…Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is at Number 4, whilst the long-standing Oscar-nominees The Descendants and The Artist are holding steady at Number 11 and 12 respectively….
Number 4
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island
This movie has made over $50 million already in the US alone....!
Starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Michael Caine, this films actually looks amusing and entertaining for the whole family to watch.

Number 11
The Descendants
The film has been released for 14 weeks and has so far made $75 million in the US alone....!
Sliding out of the Top 10 doesn’t mean the film won’t re-enter after it is sure to get an Oscar boost on Sunday….!
Number 12
The Artist
Budgeted at $15 million, this film is already close to bringing in $30 million in the US alone....!
With Jean Dujardin on a media blitz ahead of the Oscars ceremony on Sunday, Weinstein’s award-sweeping movie is sure to be shooting straight back into the Top 10 once the Oscar boost comes into effect.
I wonder what the results will be like next Monday after the Oscars?
